Last day December 10, 2015 the project consortium Savelec, whosee membership is bcb, a general meeting was organized in Madrid to pool the evolution of the project, its progress and planning to the final of the same.
The SAVELEC project aims to provide a solution for a well defined in the field of police / security / guards and border forces problem. Seeks to provide a solution to secure external control of an uncooperative vehicle, causing it to stop without consequences for people inside or nearby. The solution proposed is based on the use of electromagnetic pulses (EMP) and high power microwave (HPM) that affect the normal operation of the electronic components in the vehicle, thereby causing braking and safe stop.
The SAVELEC project has received funding from the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Union for research, technological development and demonstration.
