Inframation 2016, considered the largest thermography congress in the world, took place on September 27, 28 and 29, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, in which bcb was present.

It is considered the largest conference in the field of thermography. Inframation is an opportunity for both beginners and experts in the field to increase their knowledge and skills in technical and thermal imaging applications.

In addition to being able to attend the lectures presented by these three experts Jan Gasparic together with Casey Anderson and Corbett Lundsford, the participants were also able to take part in a large number of presentations, courses and workshops given by technicians in the area from all over the world and for every industry. The cases and topics touched by the speakers covered the areas of electrical / mechanical, construction, HVAC / R, gas images, among others.

Here we highlight some of the presentations:

1. UAV Applications for Thermographers, taught by David Weisman.

David Weisman, co-founder of J-D-Eye LLC, presents a number of areas in which thermography and UAVs have intersected today.

2. Surveys of the Thermal Imaging Stick, presented by Kayleigh Fawcett.

Kayleigh Fawcett is an ecologist specializing in bats, she uses thermography as a non-invasive method for the observation of bat populations.

3. Deck bridge Digitization with infrared thermography, presented by Masato Matsumoto

Did you know that when bridge inspectors determine the condition of structures, it is usually subjective? That is why Masato and his team at NEXCO-Oeste began investigating whether infrared cameras can be a more effective means of inspecting bridges. Masato took the attendees through the research project process and its exciting results.
