bcb participated in the 4th I+DONES Forum, held in Granada and organized by the CDTI (Center for the Development of Industrial Technology), the Industry Office, and INEUSTAR, an association of which bcb is a member. The event brought together companies, institutions, and research centers to discuss the technological and industrial opportunities linked to IFMIF-DONES, one of Europe’s most important scientific infrastructures for the development of fusion energy.
The forum solidified its role as a strategic platform for connecting science and industry, promoting technology transfer, and showcasing projects with a potential economic value exceeding €2 billion related to big science. More than 200 companies participated in this edition, reflecting the growing industrial interest in the IFMIF-DONES ecosystem.
For bcb, participation in this forum represents an opportunity to continue contributing to the technological challenges associated with large scientific infrastructures, especially in areas related to optical sensors, advanced instrumentation, and infrared thermography. Together with our technology partnerFLIR Systems, we continue to explore applications where thermal monitoring technologies can add value in safety, diagnostics, systems integration, and the monitoring of critical processes.
During the event, the exchange with technical managers, public agencies, and industry stakeholders allowed us to identify new opportunities for collaboration on projects linked not only to IFMIF-DONES, but also to the growth of the Science Industry sector in Spain and Europe.
For bcb, being part of this ecosystem reinforces our commitment to solutions that contribute to the challenges of advanced research and the critical infrastructures of the future.
