Last Wednesday, bcb had the privilege of attending an event organized by SECPHO and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) to get a firsthand look at MareNostrum 5. This supercomputer, inaugurated late last year, is one of the most powerful in the world, with a computing capacity of 314 petaflops.
This visit allowed more than thirty partners to SECPHO, including representatives from various industries and technology centers, explored the applications of MareNostrum 5. During the event, it was explained how the industry and researchers can benefit from this infrastructure and the advances in the manufacturing of chips for the next generation were presented. , which is expected to use European RISC-V-based hardware.
Our participation in this event was an excellent opportunity to gain insight into this cutting-edge scientific infrastructure and to strengthen our relationships with other SECPHO members. At bcb, we remain committed to innovation and the development of advanced technological solutions for our clients.
We extend our gratitude to SECPHO and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center for organizing the event and to all participants for the enriching conversations. We look forward to continuing our contribution to industry advancement and strengthening our collaboration with sector professionals.
