bcb México has presented at the CONACYT (National Council on Science and Technology) a Iberoeka draft R&D on automotive topics with FICOSA.

Road accidents and casualities caused by sleepiness are an important social and economic problem worldwide.

In addition to the incalculable human and social costs of such accidents, there is a significant economic impact. In Europe, the economic cost of accidents related to fatigue and drowsiness, estimated between 10B € and 24B € per year

The Conacyt project of cooperation between México and Spain, presented in February 2015, aims at designing and manufacturing a drowsiness detection system to help drivers to avoid accidents.
