The A6xxx series is the first choice of a thermal imager with a cooled photonic sensor. A cooled sensor camera has a lower thermal noise, allowing you to obtain higher thermal sensitivity, reduce integration time, and avoid saturation from high radiation. These characteristics make it ideal for research, development and laboratory applications. This series has equipment for medium wave (MWIR), such as the FLIR A6701, FLIR A6751 and FLIR A6753, as well as long wave (LWIR), such as the FLIR A6751 SLS. The one that measures in the wide band that goes from 1 to 5 µm is the FLIR A6752, and all of them has a stirling cooling. On the other hand, the FLIR A6261 works with peltier cooling and works in short wave (SWIR).
The A85xx models have all the benefits of having a cooled photonic sensor plus having an autofocus and high resolution mechanism. A cooled sensor camera has lower thermal noise, allowing you to obtain a higher thermal sensitivity, reduce the integration time, and avoid the saturation generated by high radiation. These characteristics make it ideal for research, development and laboratory applications. This series has equipment for medium wave (MWIR), such as the FLIR A8581 and FLIR A8583, as well as long wave (LWIR), such as the FLIR A8581 SLS and with a wide band that goes from 1 to 5 µm such as the FLIR A8580 and FLIR A8582.
The FLIR X6901 sc and FLIR X6902 sc cameras are extremely fast and highly sensitive MWIR designed for scientists, researchers and engineers. With advanced triggering, in-camera RAM/SSD recording, and a four-positioned motorized filter wheel, this camera offers the ability to pass high-speed events in slow-motion, either in the lab or on test fields.
FLIR X8501 sc and FLIR X8502 sc are high-definition and high-sensitivity cameras designed for scientists, researchers, and engineers. The Stressed Layer Supernet Detector (SLS) offers HD resolution combined with shorter snapshot speeds, wider temperature bands, and better uniformity than current LWIR or MWIR alternatives. With the advanced triggering and in-camera RAM / SSD recording, researchers can easily use the slow-motion feature for high-speed events, whether in the lab or in the test range.
