From September 28 to 30, 2022, the most important national fair for the foundry industry was held in Monterrey: FUNDIEXPO2022bcb together with its technological partner, Teledyne FLIR, exhibited the latest in infrared thermography applied to foundry processes at stand 930, in the Automation pavilion.

The event is held every 3 years, with the 2022 edition being the exception because it was postponed from 2021. The level of attendance was as high as the pre-pandemic period and was reflected by the high number of professionals who attended the space. Assigned to bcb and Teledyne FLIR looking for comprehensive solutions for non-contact temperature measurement and graphical representation of heat in their processes.

The visiting companies were global benchmarks in Die CastingSand CastingMelting Centers and Iron and Steel and belonging to the Automotive, Construction, Energy, Aerospace, Heavy Transport and Refrigeration sectors. Although most of the visitors came from the northeastern region of Mexico, there was a significant number of professionals from the Bajío, West, Center and Northwest of the country, as well as some visitors from South America and Europe.

bcb  showed attendees the solutions it has developed for the needs of the sector: bcbMonitor 4.0 and bcbDiescan, software of great value when it comes to obtaining temperature data in areas such as pots and molds or for measuring the temperature of the Liquid metal.

“The market for automation thermal imaging cameras has matured a lot. It is already more and more common to find thermography users and we could see it because of the technical level of each visitor query and because they were already asking about equipment and very detailed configurations of the same, something that did not happen to us 4 years ago that we participated”, commented Jairo García, Operations Director of bcb México.

In addition to the exhibition area, the event included the dynamics of B2B meetings, master conferences and training. For the final day, bcb participated in the closing dinner organized by the event’s organizing committee. “It was a round participation,” said Teledyne FLIR Automation Manager for LATAM, Ivo Belo.
